The National Assembly Budget Office (Chief Dongha Chi) held a meeting with a mission team from the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) on Thursday, February 26.

The meeting was attended by officials from NABO including Director Mijeong Park of the Economic Analysis Coordination Division, Planning and Budget Division Director Hyung-jin Kim, as well as Douglas Sutherland, Head of Division at the OECD, among others.

NABO and the OECD mission team engaged in in-depth discussions on assessment and outlook of Korea’s overall macroeconomic conditions, tax system reform measures, and ways to strengthen NABO’s independence and institutional mandate.

Douglas Sutherland, Head of the OECD delegation, noted that the insights shared by NABO are expected to be of great value in finalising the OECD's 2026 Economic Survey of Korea.
