Title Reach Out Program: Spreading the Love at Sorok Island

On May 25th, 2018, NABO payed a visit to Sorokdo National Hospital in Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, as part of a reach-out program to support patients struggling with leprosy.

NABO Chief Kim Chunsoon and 20 staff members delivered gifts that included sneakers and funds, and participated in an environmental cleanup. Chief Kim also held a roundtable meeting with the head of Sorokdo National Hospital as well as the chairman and members of the Sorokdo Village Community to receive an update and exchange views regarding the health and welfare conditions of leprosy patients and the challenges faced by employees in managing the hospital.

Chief Kim said that “NABO will continue to be involved in efforts to correct the misconceptions surrounding leprosy, promote a healthy lifestyle for leprosy patients and improve compensation for employees.”
