From end of January to end of February, National Assembly Budget Office invited Ghana, Guatemala and Hungary as a part of Knowledge Sharing Program(KSP). KSP is a program to share development history and current policy of Korea with developing countries as an aid project.
First, on January 31th, 7 members from Ghana including Kwaku Kwarteng, Memeber of Parliament and Deputy Minister of Finance, visited NABO. Ghana has plans to establish financial analysis institution, and expected to listen about tax-planning technique from Moonjong Jeong.
Next, Ki Seok Ko had meeting with 4 members from Guatemala including Martha María Pacay Guillermo, Director of Monitoring and Evaluation Department of the Guatemalan National Planning Office, and discuss about economy development plan, strengthening budget connectivity, and budget adjustment and distribution system.
Finally, on February 26th, Mihee Choi met 5 members from Hungary including Rita Hévei, Secretary-general of National Economy Department, and introduced tax system and evaluation technique such as Earned Income Tax System and Earned Income Tax Credit(EITC).
